About Shoemake Law Firm
I am Sheila Shoemake, and I founded Shoemake Law Firm on the idea that the resolution of legal matters requires a compassionate hand. The legal process can have such a profound impact on any part of our lives, from our freedoms to our families. When a legal matter has the potential to disrupt your life, I will stand alongside you and do my best to reduce the stress of your situation until it is resolved.
In addition to my many years of experience in the legal field, I am fluent in Spanish and French. This allows me to help a variety of clients from different backgrounds personally, without having to rely on a translator or assistant. I’m here for you and I will handle your case from day one until the last day to ensure you get the quality legal guidance you deserve, even if you don’t speak fluent English.

My Life Experiences Give You An Advantage
My background in law began very close to home. My grandfather, father and brother have all served Oklahoma communities as legal professionals. In addition to my grandfather’s contributions as a judge in Bryan County, my father was also in the House of Representatives in Oklahoma. Their careers set an example for me and helped me understand that attorneys can be a powerful resource for ordinary people grappling with convoluted and sensitive legal issues.
Throughout my life, I have pursued academic and professional experiences that would broaden my cultural worldview. I taught both French and Spanish at Langston University in Oklahoma and served as the head of Del Mar College’s foreign language department. Working with students from all backgrounds has helped me craft an approach to law that focuses on the individual. When you work with me, you will not receive a one-size-fits-all attitude about your case.
Before founding Shoemake Law Firm, I worked as a public defender. I have seen firsthand that the quality of your representation can change your life, so I have committed my career to providing the strongest possible counsel to anyone facing criminal law or family law matters. My close understanding of the legal system allows me to help you navigate the complexities of the legal system as efficiently as possible.
